Chartering

Virtually speaking our involvement in the chartering of Passenger Ships - Cruise Ships were the first type we fixed - coincided  with the very inception of Masters' Shipping co back in 1965 as the company brokered its first contract for the time-Charter of Epirotiki Line's mv Achilles to Swedish interests. That ship's charter was followed by a number of extensions over the years. That's how it all started. Since then, Masters' Shipping Co. has been instrumental in broking hundreds of Charter Deals of Cruise Ships, Ropaxes, Floating Hotels and High Speed Crafts a number of which have been remarkable.

   

Milestone Charter Deals

• Repeated charter deals for a large number of Epirotiki Lines Cruise ships since the very early years of this company's life.

• Repeated Time Charter deals of Louis cruise lines' ships to Israeli, Arab, French, etc. interests.

• The charter of some eight Cruise Ships enbloc as floating hotels for a six-month period in 1998 for the Lisbon-98 Exhibition.

• The charter of some ten Cruise Ships enbloc as floating hotels in Genova for the hosting of the G8 summit heads of states.

• The charter of some eight Cruise Ships enbloc as floating hotels in Napoli for the hosting of the Nato summit heads of states.

• The charter of the Israeli-controlled Cruise Ship mv Dream as floating hotel to Tulane University, New Orleans for accommodating University Staff, Professors and students for a period of six months following the disastrous passage of Hurricane Katrina.

• The charter of ANEK Lines’ Ropax mv Nissos Rodos to the Embassy of Brazil in Greece for the evacuation of High Ranking officials from Libya.

• The charter of ANEK Lines’ Ropax mv Lissos to the Embassy of Brazil for the evacuation of more than 1000 Vietnamese workers from Libya to Vietnam.

• The period charter of Cruise Ship SS Topaz to Peace Boat.

• The period charter of three GNV Ropax Ships (Forza, Coraggio, Audacia) to ANEK Lines.

• The evacuation of civilians from Lebanon before a new Israeli invasion through the charter of the High Speed catamaran Dodekanissos Pride in 2006.

• The charter of Cruise Ships on many occasions to the Ghaddafi administration to host head of states during Pan-African summits.

• The charter of the mv Ocean Majesty as a floating hotel to the Qatari Government.

• The charter of the mv Ocean Countess as floating hotel to France TV for the Athens Olympics.

• Countless charters of Ropax Ferries over the years from all major Greek Operators to both European and (almost all) of main North African Charterers, etc.
