Recycling

Masters' Shipping
has brokered the sale of over two hundred Passenger ships for demolition since its early days.

The recycling of Passenger ships is a very special (and small for that matter) volume sector of the whole recycling industry. Due to the sheer complexity and amount of work involved in the (proper) recycling of this type of ships - as compared to the recycling of other types - rather too few recyclers are able and/or willing to take on such projects regardless of their size or business mustle.

In our company's considered opinion, the world recycling markets have historically been flawed when it comes to prices paid for Passenger ships of all types. Masters' shipping co. puts this down to the over-simplistic method the markets use when it comes to assessing Passenger ships which is invariably done by referring solely to the steel (LDT) and metals value of each vessel and not taking into account or factoring in the intrinsic or inherent value hidden inside each unit.

Masters' Shipping manages to offer Added Value to its owners by invariably dealing only with those high-ranking A1 yards which do understand and appreciate the unique nature and the hidden profit prospects of almost all Passenger ships, when properly recycled and remunerate them accordingly.

Milestone Recycling Sales

The enbloc sale of three Cruise Ships to Indian Recyclers.

• The sale of the half-built Cruise ship mv Zoe which we first sold as a Hull ( in the process it was jumboed by some 40m with a view to being completed to a 4-star, about 700-cabin capacity Cruise ship) and we eventually re-sold her, always uncompleted but for recycling this time around, following the world economic crisis of 2008.
